How do you expect semester two to be different? the same? What will you do to improve on yourself to prove that you deserve a passing grade?
Even though it is already my second year in high school it feels like my first year, and I am ecstatic to say that I am passing my classes with B's or better.(I hold that as a sort of success) This year I had the chance to get close to some really amazing people but at the same time I had to let go of others. I find it difficult to admit that I only have two years and four months left in high school; however, I know that for a fact I will miss the people I got to know. I think that next semester I will focus on the now, my parents have always told me look forward to the future and stop living in the now, but i do that regardless, this time I will find a way to manage both. The only major conflict that seems to become recurring is my procrastination, but I'm pretty sure I will get over it if I better my time management.Aside from procrastination I honestly think that I should study more, most of the time I understand what I am doing but when a test is in front of me it looks like if it is written in some other language..

Blog Assignment #8: Google-itis?
1. What do you think are the main reasons why this study had these results?
There are several different reasons for theses findings but the most prominent soley bieng the interneet. Although as a human you can come to build different relationships be it friends or frenemies, with new technology you can expand these relationships globally. Nowadays society is requiring higher levels of education, connections become important. A typical "old school" office would be full of piles of paper, but with technology most of those contacts are now elctronically saved. When there are "problems" people tend to look at other peoples pages, FB or Email, to check what is being said about that "problem". Recently more divorces have been caused by the rising number of electronics.
2. Have you fallen victim to "The Google Effect?" Give an example.
I like many others have fallen prey to the Google Effect. Although it would be nice to think that I am above that I am not. To this day I keep an active archive of alll of my computer work on both my AOL and GMAIL accounts, along with numerous other documents be it personal or school work. Even though I find myself able to go one week without signing in to my emails or FB, there is always a nagging sense in the back of my head. As of now I have about 7 people's numbers memorized, everyone else is saved into my Gmail contacts.
3. Provide a cure/solution or explain why there may be no way out of this situation?
I think that there is nor real long-term solution because it is an addiction. A couple years back not everyone had a computer much less understood he infamous Mac commercial in the 1970's. But the only short term solution that I can think of is to prioritize your activities, and figure out if you really need to use the internet for that activity. If there are some functions that u can use paper for then do so. If the number to your house is important then memorize it.

Blog 7
How do you think Technology will affect your life differently this year than in the previous years of your life? Consider what changes you are expecting to the way of life you have, new products you may be purchasing, and what you have learned thus far in school and personally?
This year actually marks the second year of me having my email, and in that time I have had to make numerous accounts on different sites and for obvious different uses. This year marks another year of change, surprisingly this year I am glad to say that I am enrolled in an interesting computer class. Not until I was actually in my sophomore year was when the computer class was interesting. During my time at Hollenbeck the computer class only taught basic skills for using Microsoft programs such as Excel, Powerpoint, and Word. This is my sister's fourth year in University, she told me that upon graduating she plans to buy a new laptop. I personally don't have a computer because I usually borrow my sister's laptop whenever she doesn't need it for her classes. Since this year's computer class is twice as informative as my previous computer class I have come to understand what words like RAM and Memory mean. Using this new found knowledge I plan to utilize it in order to help my sister buy a useful computer. At the end of this school year I plan to be twice as computer savvy than what I am, and I have no doubt that whatever I learn will prove its usefulness later in life.
